I toured the city of Calcutta around New Year's, 2008. As the former capital of the British Empire in India, the most prominent landmark in the city is the Victoria Memorial, a mausoleum to Queen Victoria, the British Empress. I also visited some Anglican churches in the city, namely St. Paul's Cathedral and St. John's Church, both remarkable for their architecture. Enjoy the sights of the city to the music of Dvorak's Symphony No. 8, Handel's Messiah and some haunting Gregorian Chants performed by the Benedictine monks of St. Michael's.
